ABOUT THE AVIATION SUMMER PROGRAM

A two-week in-depth exploration of the fundamental principles of aviation from one of a select few FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) authorized programs on a university campus.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Both classroom instruction and hands-on field experience.
  • A basic understanding of metal structures, composites, welding, machining, electrical components, and systems for those seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Certificate.
  • Exposure to the fleet of single-engine Piper Archers, and a twin-engine Piper Seminole for flight training courses.

 

ABOUT ANDREWS UNIVERSITY (FLIGHT SCHOOL)

  • Andrews has state-of-the-art flight simulators and flight training devices.
  • Students can focus on Aviation Flight, Aviation Maintenance, or both.
  • The Flight and Maintenance degrees can be combined with a business degree as well as other dual majors.
